Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, 4 tablespoons of sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Cut in the chilled butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the heavy cream until the dough comes together.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead a few times.
- Shape the dough into a circle about 1-inch thick and cut into wedges.
- Place the scones on the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle with the remaining sugar.
Baking
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
